Nichelle Gainey

Founder & Executive Producer

Nichelle Gainey is a globally recognized executive, storyteller, and strategist working at the intersection of sport, culture, innovation, and social impact across the United States, Africa, Western Asia, South America, Europe, and diaspora communities.

With a foundation in STEM-informed program design, game-based learning, and narrative media, she creates accessible, engaging pathways that translate complex systems into real-world learning for youth and emerging leaders. Her work supports future-ready skills across sport, education, and digital citizenship.

Nichelle has advanced global collaboration through work with UN Women and CONCACAF, contributed to ESPN and NCAA programming, and participated in the launch of ESPN’s 30 for 30 documentary series. She is the creator and executive producer of the Tackling Mental Health social impact panels held in conjunction with the NFL Super Bowl (2024–2026).

Her experience includes participation in the LA 2028 Olympic & Paralympic Games bid, a FIFA Presidential Delegation, and global forums including the Aspen Institute, MIT, and Harvard Business School. Her work is grounded in a multigenerational storytelling legacy, including a family connection to Alex Haley.

Malu Tshitenge

African Initiative Lead
Co-Producer, Becoming Malu (H3R Story)

Congolese American and former UNC basketball standout with a background in business, finance, and technology. As the niece of humanitarian and NBA icon Dikembe Mutombo, Malu brings rooted identity, lineage, and cultural certainty to H3R Story.

In July 2026, she will launch the H3R Africa Initiative, honoring her heritage while advancing global advocacy for women and girls.
